Time Table
The Mesozoic represents the time when dinosaurs were on the planet. It breaks up into three more smaller groups called the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous. The Triassic is when dinosaurs first show up (around 245 million years ago) and the end of the Cretaceous is when they all die out about 65 million years ago. The fossils shown here come from the late cretaceous about 90 million years ago.
