Update (6.22.16): It turns out this was a rediscovery of a large Jupiter Trojan asteroid. The MPC was able to use these measurements to link previously unknown measurements together dating back to the year 2000. I'll be following up next year to see if I can find it again.
Found this faint asteroid moving across galaxy NGC 5964 in a set of images from 6.5.16. Was able to luckily relocated it the next night.
